I560 Tuesdays since

I lost my best beau.

After daily suspense she

Called Seattle that Tuesday

Afternoon to say,

“He loved you very

Much”: always brief; even then

When words should matter.

Funeral night, though,

She let out brief cries, thinking

About forty-five

Years of her life: some happy;

More sad.  My thoughts ran

To a void I would not fill

Til she herself passed

Fourteen years later.
